We buy cars on the Gold Coast. Paid before we collect.
We buy cars, utes, SUVs and 4WDs across the Gold Coast and the hinterland, with a genuine offer by phone. We collect the car only after your funds have cleared.
Sell your car in Gold Coast
Step 1 of 3: your car
- Licensed dealer MD 077404NSW licence. Run by a valuer since 1992
- Paid before pickupFunds clear before the car leaves
- An offer on the callA real offer, not an online estimate
- Australia-wideWe arrange collection in every state
We buy cars all over the Gold Coast
From Coomera and Pimpama in the north to Coolangatta on the border, we buy your car wherever it is parked. That might be a high-rise car park in Surfers Paradise or Broadbeach, a driveway in Robina or Mudgeeraba, a canal home at Hope Island or a property up at Tamborine Mountain.
We are a licensed motor dealer (NSW licence MD 077404, Autohaus Australia Pty Ltd) that buys cars right across Australia, and the business is run by a valuer who has priced cars since 1992. We make a genuine offer by phone, not an online estimate. Accept it and we pay a deposit, often the same day. The inspection happens at a time and place that suits you. The balance goes into your bank account, and the car is collected only after you confirm the funds have cleared. See how it works.
The cars we buy on the Gold Coast
The Gold Coast drives a bit of everything. Family SUVs do the school run through Varsity Lakes and Pacific Pines. Tradies run utes between building sites in Coomera and Ormeau. European and prestige cars are everywhere around Sanctuary Cove, Hope Island and Main Beach. We can buy your car whichever of those it is.
We are buying cars, utes, SUVs and 4WDs from 2021 or newer with 100,000 km or less. That covers the Toyota RAV4, the Mazda CX-5 and other SUVs, work utes like the Ford Ranger, and prestige cars such as the Mercedes-Benz GLC. Older or higher kilometres? Send it through anyway and we will tell you straight away if we can help.
Selling a car on the Gold Coast without the hassle
A private sale here means a listing, scam messages, lowball offers and strangers wanting test drives along the Gold Coast Highway. Then you have to be sure the payment is real before you hand over the keys. A trade-in is quicker, but you are negotiating with the business selling you the next car.
Sell your car to us instead. A free valuation has no obligation, and no fees come out of the offer. Still paying it off? We deal with your lender directly and pay you any equity.
We also buy cars over the border in Tweed Heads, and to the north in Logan and Brisbane.
Paperwork in Queensland
In Queensland the seller starts the transfer. The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) says that after you sell, you must transfer the registration within 14 days, and the seller pays no fee. The buyer pays the transfer fee and vehicle registration duty. Until the transfer goes through, you remain liable for tolls and fines on a car still registered in your name. When you sell to us, we prepare the sale paperwork and help with the transfer, so your part is done correctly.
You usually do not need a safety certificate either. A private buyer of a registered car is owed a current one, but TMR exempts cars traded to licensed motor dealers. We confirm what applies to your car on the call. Read our guides to selling a car in Queensland and selling a car in Australia for every step.
What we are buying right now
Cars, utes, SUVs and 4WDs of any make, 2021 or newer, with 100,000 km or less. Finance owing is fine. Older or higher-km car? Send it through anyway and we will tell you straight away if we can help.

Selling a car in Queensland
The practical side, so nothing catches you out. Rules change from time to time, so we confirm what applies to your car on the call.
- Registration authority
- Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR)
- Transfer of ownership
- In Queensland the seller starts the transfer. TMR says that after you sell, you must transfer the registration within 14 days, and the seller pays no fee. The buyer pays the transfer fee and vehicle registration duty. Until the transfer goes through, you remain liable for tolls and fines on a car still registered in your name. When you sell to us, we prepare the sale paperwork and help with the transfer, so your part is done correctly.
- Safety certificate
- Usually not. Queensland's version of a roadworthy is the safety certificate, and a private buyer of a registered car is owed a current one. TMR exempts cars traded to licensed motor dealers, so when you sell to a licensed dealer the private-sale rule usually does not apply. We confirm what applies to your car on the call.
- Good to know
- Vehicle registration duty, Queensland's stamp duty on cars, is the buyer's cost, not yours. Compulsory third party (CTP) insurance is bundled with your Queensland rego. If you pay the rego by direct debit, TMR says to remove it so no payment comes out after you have sold the car.
What to have ready
- Photo ID
- Registration papers
- Service logbook and receipts for any recent work
- Loan details, if the car is under finance
- Bank account details for your payment
We prepare the sale paperwork and help with the transfer of ownership, so you do not have to chase forms.

Selling your car in Gold Coast: your questions
Straight answers. If yours is not here, call us and ask.
1800 73 55 73Do you buy cars in Southport, Robina and Coomera?
Yes. We buy cars right across the Gold Coast, from Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau in the north, through Southport, Surfers Paradise and Robina, to Burleigh Heads, Palm Beach and Coolangatta. Nerang, Mudgeeraba and Tamborine Mountain are covered too. The inspection happens at a time and place that suits you.
How does collection work from the Gold Coast?
Once you accept our offer, we pay a deposit, often the same day, and the inspection happens at a time and place that suits you. The balance is paid into your bank account. We arrange collection from your home or workplace only after you confirm the funds have cleared, so the car never leaves before you are paid.
Do I need a safety certificate to sell my car on the Gold Coast?
Usually not.
My car lives near the beach. Does that matter?
We can still buy your car. Salt air, sand and strong sun do show up on a coastal car over time, so tell us on the call about any faded paint, stone chips, surface rust or wear inside. Being upfront means the offer is made on the car as it really is.
What cars are you buying right now?
We are buying cars, utes, SUVs and 4WDs built in 2021 or later with 100,000 km or less. Any make is welcome, and we have strong demand for European and prestige models, dual-cab utes and family SUVs. If your car sits just outside that, send it through anyway and we will tell you straight away whether we can help.
When do I get paid?
Once we agree on a price, we can often pay a deposit the same day. After an inspection, the balance is paid into your bank account by bank transfer. The car is collected only after you confirm the funds have cleared, so you are never left without the car and without the money.
Can I sell my car if I still owe money on it?
Yes. We deal with your lender directly to pay out the loan, then pay you any equity left over. Cars under finance usually take 2 to 3 business days to settle. If you owe more than the car is worth, the difference has to be covered before settlement, and we show you the numbers before you decide.
