Selling a car in New South Wales

Transfer of ownership: In NSW the seller lodges a free notice of disposal with Service NSW within 14 days of the sale, and Service NSW says to do it immediately after you sell. Good to know: In NSW the buyer pays the transfer fee and any stamp duty, so neither comes out of your offer when you sell to us. Your CTP green slip moves to the new owner automatically with the registration. On the day the car goes, take out your e-tag and delete the plate from your toll account.
